From Children’s Advocates project report: Community education on issues of child sexual abuse was one of the supporting activities to the identification of children at risk and abused. Door to door campaign and public talks were the main strategies employed during community education. These strategies yielded significantly results as the project experienced an increase in number of cases being reported. The communities were sensitised on where to report cases of child sexual abuse, when to report these cases and the services that the child can access in health centres as well as the one stop centre. In total, 14151 people were reached out during this period. Out of the14151 community members educated on child sexual abuse matters, 11870 were females and 2281 were males. The majority reached out were female and school going children and men were the least people reached due to non availability in homes and public places at the time of awareness.
